I'm buying a PC

You might want to look at: http://www.olex.net/ which is owned by a
friend of mine here in the Chicago area, Oleg Riachenkov.  He is a
Russian imigrant who gives good service and quite low prices, but he
is not extremely knowledgeable.  I think he is a good choice if you
already know what you want, and you already know about computers.

Another friend of mine, this time in Cincinnati Ohio, is Tom Case, the
owner of Debco Computers Inc. at http://www.debco.com/.  Tom is very
knowledgeable and has good prices and good service, but he is not
quite as cheap as Oleg is.  Tom has been in this business since the
early days of CP/M.
