Yep, just send the message:

"set higher-fire mail postpone"

to the address listproc@prairienet.org.  When your prepared to receive
H-F mail again, send the message:

"set higher-fire mail ack"

Yeow!!  There *has* to be a way to delete old messages, I'm sure.
What software do you us to read mail?  The "d" key often works.
