I'd say that what's called "christian music" isn't necesarily
christ like. Some is just like the various false theologies that
tickle the ears and are pleasant to listen to. And thus are
for entertainment purposes only.
I personally have no place for what's called christian rap,
even christian rock music, and much christian contemporary
music. I fail to be lifted up by them.
Also, if you get a chance to view any of these so called "christian
videos", turn down the sound all the way and judge the appearance only
against what might be available on cable's MTV or VH-1. You'll find
there's little or difference in spirit of the two.

I think if the song ministers to the soul and "invokes" worship,
then I'd say it's done a fine job in lifting up the Lord and has
already performed part of it's function in edifying God.
