not all secular music is bad!

I hope I'm not offending anyone, but music is not just for worshipping
God. It is to express oneself in more ways than just showing your love
for God. I don't agree with the people who try to scare people with the
*back masking* argument because it's not true. What do you think our
subconscious has some special powers to take in the music, turn it
around, and take in the message? This also goes for the argument over
subliminal messages. Our consciousness level is at a much higher level
than the subliminal messages, so it isn't very likely that we can take
in the message. If we have a hard time remembering audible messages,
what makes anyone think a subliminal message is going to get in? I know
what some of you are thinking,* You haven't heard about the many people
that have killed other people because of rock music.* The music didn't
do it or contribute to it, they would have done what they did with or
without the rock music. I know some of you will say,* It is not the
worlds that have a negative massage but the spirit behind it.* What I
have to say about that is that most secular music is not trying to
deliver a religious message; it's about love, life experience and having
fun. Now I'm not denying that some music is offensive ( I believe we
should not listen to that kind), but not all is bad. If some of you are
worried about your children being influenced by the music, just teach
then how to differentiate what is right and what is wrong and they will
sensor what they listen to. They are exposed to it anyway at school, in
the malls, and many other places. What you make then cover their ears?
I speak from experience and from watching other God-fearing Christians.
I have my convictions and no music has kept me away from God.
One question, if you feel all secular music is bad, do you think singing
nursery rhymes or the national anthem is wrong?
