not all secular music is bad!

I haven't been following the music thread all that closely, but I don't
recall anyone saying that secular music is bad -- I believe the topic
was styles of "contemporary Christian" music and other American music
styles (various forms of gospel, etc).

Myself, I listen to classical music and some jazz every once in a
while, but I usually keep my radio tuned to the local "Christian Top
40" format station. When I'm in the mood, I'll pop a southern gospel
or Christian C&W tape into my stereo: UPC folks have some excellent
artists in this area! Very occasionally might read the music reviews
in the local "alternative" paper just to see what's going on in that
area.

I don't particularly care for the glam-rock, gangsta-rap, or most
thrash groups, though my preference is stylistic (i.e. I'm an old
fogey), rather than because of any belief that particular styles of
music are particularly evil.

My collection of tapes and CD's (which was seriously decimated by the
fire) ranges from Keith Green to Michael Card to Audio Adreneline to
The Landmark Trio.
