ok Richard..
How about the simple idea that a beard is considered in most
of the advertising world as something that a rugged man has
while the man that is shaven is considered clean cut?
I know by my personal experience that when I do not shave,
I feel rugged. This usually occurs when I am being lazy or
I woke up late before going somewhere. When I am shaven, I feel
more( looking for a word..) business like.
You can take this as you want to but in Indiana district of the UPC
the beard or mustache is frowned upon and not considered proper
for members in the churches. Some preachers preach against it
even if they don't use scripture..even though I have heard one
make mention that a man is to be shave and shorn. My pastor
personally does not preach against it and still all but 1 person in
my church that I know of has a mustache. Hehe..I mean to say only
1 person has one..not all but one. oops.
I read some interesting tips on job interviews before and all
of the articles I read made note for men to be clean shaven.
Why? Is it because society thinks clean shaven is more proper?
I do not know.
