I don't totally agree with you. I believe ( and I think everyone should
consider believing this way too) that there should be a balance between
what is God's true and pastor's interpretation and conviction. Just
because a pastor believes something doesn't mean they should impose it
on His whole congregation. They are not ultimate rulers on everything.
Therefore, if a pastor does not believe the same way as one of his
members and the belief is not a heaven-or-hell issue, he should not
force them to change. It is very important to have checks and balances
in the church and I think district boards have been negligent in
allowing pastors to impose personal convictions on their church members.
