H> If I were your brother-in-law, I would ask the youth this: "When you listen
H> to a particular song, what do you
H> begin to think? Are you reflecting on what the lyrics are saying and
H> thinking about how it applies to your
H> life, or are you groovin' and jivin' with the tune?" One of these
H> situations usually supercedes the other.

I agree and Disagree with you, Being from Gen X. I have to say that most
Christian "Rock" is ok. There are songs that I give a ? mark to, But most
are ok. Christian does not mean it has to mention Jesus or God! Hold on
before you get mad. Christian Music (Most that is on the radio) has basic
life situtions being dealt with. Micheal W. Smith is on of the best singer
I have come across, he has many sons that have helped me get thought the
rought teen years. Songs Like "Your Alright", "Rocket Town" Last Letter"
All these songs tell you basically to keep going no matter the problem. God
will alway be there. Does ALL Christian Music have to deal with salvation?
Why not encourage our youth. A BBBIIIGGG problem with our youth today is
they have no self-esteem in themselves! That's why they question the
standands and do what they want. They are looking for "God" in them!
