If I Could Make A Difference

If I could make a difference, would I wake the Morning to
See a smile upon my face that the frowns would bow unto.

If I could make a difference would I sing a melody
And make the robins listen of my love I give to Thee.

If I could make a difference would I pick a fresh, red rose
And give it to the Lonely so my friendship It will know

If I could make a difference would I give a warm embrace
And lift up the downcast head of an outcast , tear-stained face.

If I could make a difference would I give my one last dime
To those who are hungry; would I give all that is mine.

If I could make a difference would I be an ear unto
The One with storms and trials; would I intercede to You?

If I could make a difference would I say a heart-felt prayer
And know that You are listening and for my thoughts You will care.

If I could make a difference would I say more than just words
And sing the highest praises that would shame the sweetest bird.

If I could make a difference would I bridge the gap to You
For some lost and dying soul that Your love they never knew.

We all can make a difference if we will only yet but bow
To the One who can use us, To the One who'll show us how.

Through us He'll make the difference if we yield to what it takes
For tools are only useful in hands of Amazing Grace.
