Greetings Saints!

This came in the mail to me today from Sis. Rachel Ramos
(rramos@admin4.hsc.uth.tmc.edu). I asked her when she's getting
back on H-F. She didn't know because she's busy, busy, busy and
isn't necessarily sure she has the time to devote to it. But she
did say she'll have to pray about it ...

I also told her that the big discussion as of late is about the
"holiness standards"... to which she said....

> I really feel strongly about holiness. I guess it is because I was such
> a "Jezebel" before I was saved.(smile) It's so sad the way people are
> compromising. In our Bible study Tues night the subject was holiness.
> During the study my new little baby in the Lord, Deborah, took off all
> her jewlry little by little. It was really neat to watch. She was so
> open to the word, and the Lord had already been dealing with her about
> some things in the Spirit anyway.
>
> I was almost afraid to address the subject. It can really turn people
> off if they aren't ready. At the same time, why should we compromise on
> that teaching anymore than we do on Jesus name baptism? It really comes
> down to the state of the heart. If people are open to the Lord they will
> receive it. I also thought about the view that well the Lord will
> convict them on it anyway. Well, He usually will, but He has chosen the
> foolishness of preaching to save people. People won't be saved if they
> don't "hear" the truth and the way they should live.
>
> Well, that's my sermon of the day. Feel free to post it to H-F if you
> like.
>
> Take care and keep in touch.
