Hm.. when I am at a stop I always try to put the windows
down, just so people will hear the music and the words. I
never really thought about your point above. Perhaps they
cannot hear the words and it does no good. But there is
nothing inherently wrong with that sound/type of music.
The danger though, lies in people hearing in and thinking
that it is Green Day or some other worldy group that I
don't want to be connected with. I will take your point
to heart. Thank you. Although, if someone is *in* the
car with me, I know they can hear the words and will
never possibly mistake it for Green Day or Nirvana or
something.
>As for your comment about listening to Wordly music but

I totally agree with this. I don't listen to worldly music
for this very reason. I like the music, but not the words so
I don't listen to it. I don't try to tell myself "well, I'll just
ignore the words" because I know you can't really do
that. That is also partly my point with getting non-
Christians to listen to "my" music (i.e. Jars of clay.. etc.).
They may not be listening to the words intently, but they
will hear them and something will seep in. Even those
who deny the truth recognize *deep* down that it is the
truth.
Anyhow, thanks for the additional perspectives. I will
talk it over in prayer.
