I dont remember seeing any Pentecostals who would not wear buttons and
refused to dress in pleasing colors. I certainly don't remember seeing
too many Pentecostals whose women thought that a "...the ornament of a
meek and quiet spirit.." meant a black bonnet covering a God given
covering. I have seen Memmonites whose only distonction in dress was
the particular type of ankle socks they wore, and you could distinuish
between congregations in a certain area by this.

I know ZERO people filled with the Holy Ghost who are afraid of the
world, though I know many who love God more than the world.

But you have to look at the bright side, though it may be invisible to
some attitudes... What about all the 7000+ who havent bowed a knee to
Baal?

Hey, we have people scores of nose, ear, lip, navel and ____ rings all
around. They church doesnt do that stuff... but I'll tell you what ...
if thier preachers spend a whole lot of time in the pulpit talking
about how many inches above the elbow to find Hell, they might very
well be inclined to ask, "why not a nose ring or two ?"

That is true.. which is why standards must be living standards taught
and lived with the powerful support of scripture and not the lamenting
echos of regret of years gone by.

The church is NOT going down. This church is going UP!
