If the evidence does pan out, scientists are excited because it would
give evidence for the idea that life can appear anywhere, not just on
Earth. The Christian knows this already, since God can create life
anywhere he wants to.
The conclusion: it doesn't really matter. As one brother so aptly put
it, whether God created moss on Earth or moss on Mars doesn't make one
bit of difference regarding what Jesus Christ has done for mankind.
