It is still legal to administer corporal punishment in Maryland.
If it is against the law where you live it must be a state or local
law that prohibits it. If I were you I would do everything possible
to change any law that would tell you how to discipline your child.
If you are ever charged by the state there are Christian legal
associations that will take up your case. The CLA (Christian Legal
Association) is a good place to start.
Christians do have a place in the political arena. It doesn't really
take a lot of time to call, write, and petition your political
leaders. The political system today is slanted towards those that are
the loudest. Regardless of what people say, politicians do take into
consideration the amount of uproar or goodwill a particular law would
bring to their office.
