     The Word of God says if you spare the rod you hate your
child.

     I suppose my brother was simply making the point that
sparing the rod in this society could save us from a lot of unwanted
heartache and headache but in my opinion I'd rather live the Word of
God and face the persecution of this world.

     I'm sure in the coming days there are going to be (as there
already are now) a great deal of differences between what God says and
what society believes and lives.  Abortion is one of the biggest at
the present.  With this being the case I feel it of utmost importance
for us as the children of God to keep the Word of God close to our
hearts.  Cherishing and revering it to the utmost.  Don't forget the
Word of God is our road map in life.
