You mean to say that the Holy Ghost actually denounces slang ? If that
is true then a whole lot of "youth ministries" have a whole lot of
problems.

Yep, we teach that too. Missionaries are taught exactly that, to
distinguish between meaningful and meaningless controversies by being
clear about what is culture and what is God's territory. My concern
was to properly distinguish.
As the Pope of Durham (I hope those who this flys over will forgive
me) is apt to say, Jesus called some people some pretty nasty names.
My call on this is do everything heartily and as unto the Lord. While
ceasing for the time being, this and other culture-shock issues remain
very interesting to me.
