H> The salvation for America, if there is to be any, will not come from
H> "Generation X" but from God.
AMEN!
H> You seem to have a lot of "faith" in a generation. They are already
H> accepting it. It isn't something that happens in a second but takes
H> place in little areas every day. Without the Holy Ghost and the
H> direction of the Lord they will be powerless to stop the eventual end
H> result.
I know the "universal" wisdom of this Generation will be a strong force
to contend with. I don't have faith in anything except Jesus. I have been
around long enought to know that you can't put faith in anything earthy.
Yes GenX will fall for some things that the government sets out. Have we
not all? Welfare, other social Program(Whether they are good or bad). But
Gen X accepts Homosexuality. This doesn't mean that they wil be
Homosexuals!!! I know it is out there, It doesn't make me want to be one.
In fact if kids are exposed to it earlier I think we would see a decline in
that kind of activity. I work with several Gay people. The things that talk
about doing are gross. And most normal people reject such thoughts.
Also on that same line. Homosexuality will become legal. Yet I accept that
as it is. Can I do anything about it? Write or call my government. That
might say something. But Homosexuality is a "Spirit" thing. I will explain
it in a new message.
H> Knowledge is not the answer! Wisdom is! And Wisdom is the application
H> of God's principles and values to knowledge and understanding. The race
H> for knowledge that you speak of, when not tempered with the Wisdom of God,
H> will lead down a broad path to destruction. Abraham Lincoln once said
H> that he was apalled at the age of 16 at how little his parents knew but
H> when he reached 21 it was amazing how much they had learned in a short
H> time. Parents who do not seek the wisdom of God are lacking but they still
H> have the value of experience that you do not yet have. Watch out at
H> obtaining knowledge for knowledge's sake.
"Earthly Knowledge and Wisdom" and Godly Knowledge and Wisdom" are two
separate things. I think a person should know as much of earthly things as
possible and as much earthly wisdom as possible. This developes them into a
better human beings that will not be so bigoted and close-minded. The more
you know the better you are. Now Add Godly widom and knowledge to your
earthly wisdom then you can apply the gospel in an open-minded approch
without changing the gospel.
Example:
You go to a foreign country, you don't learn anything about the culture,
you start telling them about Jesus and start pushing some standards on them.
Lets say you controdict thet culture. You end up making enemmies instead of
converting them. earthly knowledge applied to Godly knowledge is important.
I see to many people trying to use Godly knowledge without earthly
knowledge, Making a complete mess of things.
