If you are in a musical rut, I have found that the best way to get around
this problem is to simply put your instrument down for a few days and
walk away from it. Don't play with it or think about it. When you go
back playing after a few days, you will have fresh musical ideas in your
mind and even your technique will improve.

Lately I have been doing a *lot* of bass playign with my buddys from high
school. We have been in the studio recording a demo for, believe it or
not, my biology teacher from high school. Not a high-paying thing to do,
but definitely fun! We were at the studio last night from 7:30pm -
2:30am. It was phat.
