I realized after I sent this post that in the parable of the sower the
birds of the air did come and "steal" the seed. Jesus likened the
birds to the wicked one. Since the seed would have produced good
fruit and it was taken away, we can say that in a sense - it was
stolen. I say only in a sense because the wicked one could not have
taken the seed away if the ground would have received it properly.
I came across another scripture in Luke 11:21. "When a strong man
armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: But when a stronger
than he shall come upon him. and overcome him, he taketh from him all
his armor wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils. He that is not
with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth."
If we are not trusting Christ we are in jeopardy of losing what He has
given us. Of course, if we are resting in Him we have no fear.
