Gia,

You are very fortunate that you never really came to the point of coached
gibberish. I don't think I have to tell you how blessed you are to have
overcome that experience into the truth, without tripping over the
stumblingblock they set before you... like I did.

The gibberish experience I submitted to was quite the stumblingblock to me
from then until I received the Holy Ghost. When praying for the true
infilling, afterwards, I was always afraid that I would be the one doing it
whenever God started getting ahold of my tongue.

When I actually did receive, I was so lost in just worshipping, and praising
God that I didn't hear myself speak in tongues. My wife and another saint
that was praying with me told me later that I was speaking in tongues all
over the place! I honestly didn't remember hearing myself.

But, after that night, and for several nights, I would lay in bed at night
with tears rolling down my cheeks from the uspeakable joy I now had welling
up inside me like that river of living waters! That convinced me, initially,
more than anything, I think- the POWER. But even still, for several days
when I was at prayer, I would ask God to allow me to speak in tongues again
just so I'd know, and each time I asked He would again change my voice to an
unknown tongue.

Actually, God did of course work all things out for the good in me through
all that. Possibly due to my burning desire to make sure that it was God
igniting my flame, and not me... But that's another story!

We serve an awesome, merciful God for which there just aren't enough words
to praise Him, nor lives to serve Him!!!

The little reed boat! I love it! What a great testimony, Mark!

Amen!!! Especially on the "without reservation!!!

God doesn't appreciate us allowing pretenders of the faith to spread their
stumblingblocks before His children. We may not be able to stop them in
their own churches, but we better not allow them in ours!

Rev 2:14 "But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them
that... cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel..." says Jesus
Christ.
