Greetings to all who believe in the name of Jesus,
I have been reading the different responses to "Goals 2000" with much
interest. I wonder how we would feel if we were to deprive many children
of a free education in our schools? Each day that I enter my library in
a public school, I think God for the chance to teach and reach out to my
inner city children. They come from a variety of home situations. You
can see how that Satan is trying to capture the hearts and minds of our
children. Maybe, we will be the only light that they will see in their life.
I love these kids!!! Many of their parents would never be able to afford
a private education for them..................and many wouldn't be
interested. I guess what I am trying to say is "Don't forget the little
children". Jesus came to save the lost! I know he would be the first to
open his arms to them.
I could add a lot more about ACE and Goals 2000. One of my daughters
attended and ACE school for one year. There is good and not so good in
the program............the same as public schools. I wouldn't argue
about either one. At this present time, I do know that all school
systems are looking at seniors who are graduating each year. Businesses
are telling the school systems that they are sending them a work force
unprepared to meet the technology standards of today. They have met with
President Clinton and asked that something be done to improve the
technology standards in our schools today. The big draw back is more
involvement in the schools by the federal government. Money will be sent
to the schools that are on these federal programs. They must follow the
guidelines set or lose federal funding. There are many Apostolic
Pentecostal public school teachers in my school system. We are very
blessed to have each other!!
I hope that I haven't offended anyone. Please forgive me if I have. My
desire is to live for Christ and to be example before others. Pray for
the public school teachers. We need it!
God Bless You All!
