                      MANNER OF LIFE
   One time I heard a man giving his testimony of conversion to Jesus.  It
was much the same as others I had heard, until.
   Until, that is, he got to the point where the Lord confronted him with
some of the things he was still allowing in his life.  In his case, it was
cigarettes.  He was quick to say that the Lord did not say it was sin to
smoke cigarettes.  
  What the Lord did say was, "They offend Me, and you can not come into a
close relationship with Me as long as you use them."
   Since that time, I have wondered about how many things we have in our life
style that are an offence to the Lord, and also keep us from a closer
relationship to Him.
   To name any possible hindering elements would border on being meddlesome,
and that is NOT our purpose.
   It is the purpose of the Holy Ghost to lead us into Jesus, Who IS the
Truth.  He WILL lead us if we are willing to follow.  He WILL direct us if we
are willing to change our course.
   HOW HUNGRY ARE WE?
