I agree that public schools have many problems. The first time my 
daughter receives a condom at school, the principle is going to get an 
earful of my disapproval. And I agree that private schooling is a better 
alternative (God give me a raise in pay!).
I acknowledge some of the benefits of homeschooling, but agree with some 
of the critics as well (social interaction).
I don't see a problem with my kids learning the basics in school, 1+1=2, 
Columbus discovered America, never say ain't, and such.
Between the Church and parents (us), we will teach our children 
spiritial truths.
The way we (parents) live, speak and act will make or break our kides 
spiritially, regardless of some inconsistancies found in public schools.
WE CAN'T RAISE OUR KIDS IN PLASTIC BUBBLES!
