Something I have been hearing about lately is the word
SENSITIVITY. It keeps coming up everywhere I go.
How sensitive are we to God? I thought about this and
see a lot of times where we are NOT sensitive to him.
It might be a prayer life..not praying when you feel you need
to, not knowing the prayer you pray just might save someone from
something. Or it might be that urge we feel sometimes to witness
but yet pass on it because we are too "busy". The urge you feel
is more than likely is your Holy Ghost filled soul urging you to
spread the Gospel.
One os the big problems I see sometimes is during a service.
Whether it be the worship part, or the preaching, sometimes
the sensitivty to God is not there. How many times have you been
in a service that was moving but yet being held back by a set
"program"? Or the choir leader not feeling God's leading and going
with the pre-planned music? How many times have you felt the need
to go and pray with someone during a service and yet did not?
How many times have you felt the want to jump and shout but held back
because no one else was?
A lot of times, people are not sensitve to the Spirit of God.
I sometimes would like to pass it off as my own thoughts so I wouldn't
feel so bad for not doing this or that, but bottom line is that it is not
me, it is God wanting to do works or wanting to bless but not being
allowed to because there is not enough sensitivity.
In order for God to have his way in services, and in our lives
we need to be more sensitive. I can't push it anymore than I am right
now! Think about it, pray about it, ask God for it..He is the reason
we are having church! If we will become more sensitive to Him,
\how much more will He become to us?
Ps.. This was not even what I was wanting to write about,
but felt the need to say it :)
