Room Decoratin' (Was Re: UPC Catalog)

Saints,

When I wrote the earlier post about decorating my room in all crazy 
manner, I forgot to mention what took place at Christmas time. 

Rose-Hulman (the college I go to) announced that there would be a contest 
for the best decorated window for the Christmas season. The grand prize 
was $200. My roomie and I decided that we wanted to do something that 
would at least get us something good, so we decided to consult with my 
(then)girlfriend's mother, who is an artist. She came up with a very cool 
idea- painting the window with window paint and having it be a picture of 
the manger scene. So, we got everything together and Nate (roomie) and I 
decided that would be it. The artist, Lois, came and drew the outlines of 
the picture and all the rest of us would paint it in. 

At the same time, the room below us decided to have a similar idea about 
Christmas, in that they wanted to put up the message "A Savior Is Born", 
written in Christmas tree lights. So here we have a huge picture of the 
manger scene with "A Savior Is Born" written underneath. We didn't plan 
it out this way, but the combination was awesome! Our room and the room 
below us won first prize! It was soo awesome!

...then I had to use my winnings to pay off my phone bill... :-(  hehehehe
