I typed this up last night while thinking about His blood being shed
for us. BP>
"Guilty or Not?"
Standing there in judgement hall, found guilty of sin with noone to
intervine. Head Bowed in Shame, the procecuters gloating over him as
yet another kill was going down. As the verdict and punishment was
about to be read, A voice from the back cried "Wait! I have new
evidence of Inocence!" A man dressed in pure white, but scars on the
back, face, hands, feet, and side came forth as an advocate for the
guilty man. He showd where is blood had blottd out the sins. THe
advocate said "why punish him when I already bore it? See the scars
in ands and my feet, his playing around in the world made these.
each hair plucked from my beard-a lie. Each thorn pressed into my
head-rejection of truth. THe scar on my side, his denying of me, but
from that scar flowed water and blood that cleansed him the day he
finally turned to me." Taking the slate that contained the guilty's
record, the advocate said "Wipe it clean since his sins and crimes
were paid for by me." The judges seeig what had happened had no
choice but to let the guilty one free. The guilty one turned and
bowed before the advocate saying "why my Lord and God?" The advocate
smiled kindly and raised the now free man to his feet and said "You
were lost, but now am found. I always loved you and when you finally
cried out, it was then I could finally show you."
I can write with truth for the guilty one you see, is me.
I hope you enjoy this. It is not as good as some of my poems from
last year, but is still from the heart.
