Another new member

Hello, Brothers and Sisters.  My name is Kirk Van Ooteghem and I am a new member
to Higher-Fire.  I have been lurking for about a week in order to get a feel for
the style of the list.  I have been on other listservs before (even some
"Christian" lists), but only recently have I discovered that there are lists
exclusively for Oneness Pentecostals like me.  Praise the Lord!!  =)

I noticed that a couple of the other new members posted some personal
information about themselves, so I am going to follow their lead and do the
same.  I live in Muncie, Indiana and attend Parkview Apostolic Church (pastored
by Pastor John Martin).  I originally came to Muncie to attend Ball State
University in 1990 and have since graduated (B.S.) and made Muncie my home.
Prior to moving to Muncie I lived in South Bend, Indiana and attended Apostolic
Lighthouse in Dowagiac, Michigan (pastored by Pastor David Helmuth).

I have been born again for nearly nine years.  I am the only Pentecostal in a
family of all Roman Catholics.  I am aspiring to the ministry, but am seeking
the direction of God to use me according to his will.  Sure, I would like to
preach (and have several times) all the time or pastor a church some day, but
God might have different plans for my life--and this is fine with me because I
know if I do things according to God's plan I will truly be happy.

I am married to a beautiful, intelligent woman and have a precious 13 month old
daughter.  These ladies are the joy of my life.  My wife's name is Tammy
(formerly Caldwell) and my daughter's is Gabrielle (I call her Gabby).  I am 24
years old and work at Ball State University as Educational Resources Info/Circ
Supervisor.

Most importantly, I love the Lord with all my heart.  He has done so much for
me that the least I can do is give my life to Him.  I love fellowship with God's
people and am very happy to be a part of this forum.

Due to time constraints I probably will not be able to read all the posts and
will probably not be sending many messages to the list.  I have two email
addresses, so if you see either vanoo@ecicnet.org or kmvanooteg@bsu.edu the
message is from me.
