proof-texting

If quoting scripture is proof texting then any preaching or teaching is
the same
or is it?
It would be hard to convince anyone maybe they had been taught wrong
concerning their relationship to God.

It is easier to win an out and out sinner, than to win a person who has
been taught error.

So, all ministers can not use a scripture reference when they preach
Sunday.
