Paul and the Jews

I am curious to see something here. I would like input on
this since I am only studying the word and want to learn.
In Acts, Paul is mentioned many times going into the synagoges
preaching to the Jews. He knew the Jews did not believe the
same gospel and he knew that they would attack him and scold
him for his beliefs, yet he did it anyways. When I read this
in the Amplified Bible, I see someone who is bold and standing
firm in his word and going up against those of non-belief. I
see a guy who was not looking to become buddy buddy with the Jews,
but a guy who was preaching salvation. Am I viewing Paul wrong in
this situation or is this actually what he did?
