Paul and the Jews

Well, if you want to reasd the truth, do not amplify it, but take it
just like it says: read the KJV or the Greek if you prefer.
But, yes, that is the impression I also get of Paul, except that his
spirit was *NOT* that of Jonah. Jonah preached at Nineveh because he
had to. He did not want the message to have any effect. He was just
doing his job, and reluctantly at that.
On the other hand, I believe that Paul was not only obeying Jesus by
preaching first to the Jew, but that he, being one of them, had
compassion on them, and really wanted to see them saved.
Paul also had impeccable credentials as a Jew knowing the word of God
-- the law and the prophets. He had sat at the feet of Gamailiel, the
high priest. He was a member of the Sanhedron. Paul had religous
clout! It would be like having a cardinal in the Catholic church
convert to this gospel, and then go back and preach it in the Vatican.
