Actually, it's very close... but not quite the correct number of days.

There were several years in the last 35 in which you both experienced
a *leap day* (Feb 29th) ... in the years of ...

   1968, 1972, 1976, 1980, 1984, 1988, 1992, & 1996

... for a total of 8 additional days.  Also, if you're counting the
day of the anniversary itself, it'd be an extra day as well just
like something that'd happen a *week ago* is actually the 8th day
ago (including today).  Think of it.... thu-->thu is 8 days total
being inclusive of the starting and ending points...

     today ... 1 day (thu), yesterday ... 2 days (wed),
     day before yesterday ... 3 days (tue), day before tuesday
     ... 4 days (mon), day before monday ... 5 days (sun),
     day before sunday .. 6 days (sat), day before saturday ...
     ... 7 days (fri), day before friday ...8 days (thu).

... so you'll have to add an additional day for the anniversary
date itself.  It was on the *day* prior to your anniversary that
you completed 35 consecutive trips around the sun together in
wedded bliss.  The anniversary date would be (in this case) 35 trips
around the sun plus 1.

So... what do we have... 35 years (12,775 days) plus 8 leap days
plus 1 additional day equals 12,784 days (ohhhhhh so clooooose).
In seconds that'd be ... 12,874 days x 86,400 seconds/day or
,112,313,600 seconds (1.1+ billion seconds).  Just think, you
celebrated you're billionth second together 112M seconds ago...
which is approximately 3.5 years ago!  Or at about 31.5 years into
marraige.  But that one probably slipped right by.
