The mathematical term is "incongruous".  It means that the period of
one thing (the earth rotation on its axis relative to the sun) and the
period of another thing (the earth's orbit around the sun) do not
share a common integral factor.  That is why the calander is a mess.
Talk to God about it if it bothers you; he decided upon those two
incongruous periods.  :-)
