Isaiah 64:4
    For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee,
what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.
"waiteth"

1 Cor 2:9  But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God
hath prepared for them that love him.
"love"

Love and waiteth seem to be equal here, waiteth being "serving the Lord,"  John 14:15  If ye love me, keep my commandments.

In the service of God we hear and obey.
Exo 19:5  Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all
people: for all the earth is mine:

1 Pet 2:9  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the
praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
