God Moves

MeB4:
Also, let me say for the record that God has healed people at my own
hand....

SisSheri:
No matter the person who laid the hands, God healed these people.

MeNow:
Maybe I'm just being a little too sensitive here, but this is the subject of
the quote above is: "God has healed people..." May it never be that I fail
to give God the Glory!

I wrote this *solely* to witness to the fact that no one has to *convince*
me that *God* still heals today.

Sis:
As for one whom the Lord has touched and blessed in so many ways, I thank
Him for His touch and for those who allow themselves to be used of
God......

Me:
Actually, I know for a fact that people get the wrong idea about those used
of God in such manners. They are not any more or less correct than anyone
else. They are not any more or less in authority. They are not any more or
less spiritual. They don't necessarily have more or *less* unconfessed sin.

I have heard ministers that I KNOW are hairline deep in sin get up and spew
forth absolute trash (not just my opinion ;-) and then lay hands on someone
and they are healed (physically or spiritually). I have heard it said that
"God won't use a dirty vessel." That is unbiblical. It is also the utmost
of pride.

John 11
48 If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans
shall come and take away both our place and nation.

49 And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year,
said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,

50 Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the
people, and that the whole nation perish not.

51 And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he
prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;

52 And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in
one the children of God that were scattered abroad.

Here is a man plotting to murder Jesus exercising the Gift of prophecy. How
can this be?

Romans 11
29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

Among my Gifts is prophecy. While I was in the world and terribly, terribly
backslidden, I did not lose the Gift. I didn't use it then, nor was I used
of the Spirit as I am now, but I was, even then, given Words that came to
pass. Then and now, many were unto the literal and spiritual deaths of
those closest to me.

Sis:
And I also thank Him for the presence of His Spirit in a small Southern
Baptist Church this past Tuesday....for the people who are still today
coming to my family and saying they have never experienced anything
like what they experienced at my Grandfather's funeral.

Me:
I too thank God for this move of His Spirit. I pray that those found worthy
of salvation are sped unto their Destination. I am also mature enough in
Christ to see that for many, as for those whom Jesus performed miracles
before, will be the means by which they are judged by their rejection of
Him, even in spite of such overt displays.

Hebrews 4
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged
sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the
joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the
heart.

The Word cuts both ways, unto Life and unto death.

This tends to *temper* me a bit...

Sis:
I still feel you have missed the point of my original post....Guess you
would have had to have been there:->

Me:
I didn't miss the point at all. God has leveled me out very much in the
time I have walked with Him. I can rejoice with those who rejoice and I can
weep with those who weep. I thank God for the respits of refreshing that He
sends. I thank God for the Comfort in abject tragedy. I have been there.

Just last Sunday a woman that the Lord (do I need to restate that it is the
Lord's doing no matter whose voice *HE* uses ;-) gave me Words for her to
stop what she was doing or she would die, came and told me she had stopped.
I was very pleased. And yet my dear sister, will I not bring the same
message again and then see the person die a month or two later as I have
many other times?

I take the Message. I help in any way that God deems. I am not the Judge.
Yet what awe mingled with fear, and YES, I mean the real kind, for what have
those who have died done, in truth, that I have not done, BUT for the Grace
of God, I have when I deliver such a Word. I have seen people die, Sis. My
own mother was one such as this. In every case there were miracles to
penetrate their hardened hearts.

Question: Does that make it any less a miracle?

I find NO fault in Him!!!

Luke 14
28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and
counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?

I think it is you who have missed the meaning of my post...

As for the Baptist, I have a Word:

1 Timothy 5
22 Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins:
keep thyself pure.

I have interpretation, if you're interested...

As for me and the tower I am building:

Philippians 4
12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and
in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to
abound and to suffer need.

13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
