Dave responds:
I didn't think you hated Trinitarians. That was not my point. I only
commented based upon your post. I believe what I said was Truth and it
may not have set well. But if you'll read my words again, you'll see
that it makes perfect sense not to accuse anyone of hating "us" because
they disagree doctrinally.

Dave responds:
I'd even stand up for a Jehovah's Witness if they were being
misrepresented. Now don't misunderstand...I do not believe they are
saved. Yet, I know their doctrine very well. I've heard one UPC
individual say that they, the Jehovah's Witnesses, believe in the
Trinity. Well, I corrected them and said that the JW's don't believe in
the Trinity since they don't even acknowledge the Deity of Christ. It's
not about siding with anyone, it's about representing them accurately.

Dave responds:
I know of a local UPC pastor who thinks the same way as you, or at least
using the same approach. He has been pastoring his church for at least
20 years and only has 15 members in his Home Missions church. That's a
long time to be pastoring with such few people. Many have left because
of an extreme position he takes. I believe in standing for what's right.
I don't compromise...but have you ever noticed how Jesus went into the
homes of sinners and ate with them, sharing with them the good news of
the Kingdom? By the way, it's the Holy Ghost, not us, that leads me to
the knowledge of the Truth through the Word. Sometimes, you can show a
person scripture all day long...but they are spiritually blind.

The times when Jesus confronted the Pharisees, the religious leaders,
was when they would attack Jesus. Read Matthew 23 for an example of
this. The Pharisees were furious because Jesus accepted sinners who
didn't have the long robes and prayed the long prayers. He accepted
whosover will.
