Time hasn't allowed me to read all of these posts fully so this may
be repetious of some previous posts. I only know that when people were
saved in the Bible, they spoke in tongues. The story of Cornelious (in
the book of Acts) is a perfect example. Even though he was a good man
being good was not enough. Tongues is the "proof" that the holy spirit
lives inside of us and baptism after repentence washes away sin.
Without tongues, how will you know? I did not make that up, it's in
the Word. It's not what I think but what God planned for us. He chose
the most "unruly" member of our body (which is our tongue - ever notice
how it rattles off sometimes without our concent ha-ha, mine does
anyway =) to submit to him. It's definately real and an experience I
wouldn't want to miss for anything! I would love to see you to go that
step further. You don't have to be afraid and until you go ahead and
reach for "all" the Lord has for you, you won't know what you are
missing! =)
Also, there is a difference in tongues, and the "gift" of tongues. I
believe that was mentioned before (a very good point!). It is possible
you're confusing those. I appreciate your sweet spirit! I wish I could
do it for you but it's something we have to do for ourself. God bless
you tremendiously!

    Love,
    Laurie Gibson =)
