I play the drums and have for most of my life. I took percussion lessons from a
total of 3 different private instructors over a period of about 9 years. I
was not saved until age 16, so prior to that I was into the rock 'n roll thing.
I also taught lessons to a few of the younger guys at church for a few years. I
still play at church every once in a while, but have basically turned the job
over to one of my former students who absolutely loves to play. Someone did the
same for me when I was a teenager.

My wife has a beautiful voice and sings occasionally at the church. Our church
has a lot of musical talent in it. My wife went to JCM for a couple of years
(90-92, I think) so she has had a little bit of training in church music.
