I totally agree with you on this point! The source of Holiness
is God and God alone. He and only He is Holy. We become Holy through
Him working on us inwardly (this is the keyword). The way we speak,
the places we go, the things we wear, etc... are not holiness. They
are the fruit of holiness. Our attitude and desires and feelings in
our HEART is what determines how much we have allowed God to consume
us with His Holiness.
We all tend to focus on the outward manifestations but these are
just simply symptoms of what is really taking place in our hearts.
Instead we would be much better off focusing on the real issue - the
heart. Letting the "fruit" produce when the "branches" have matured
and grown strong and dependent upon the "vine" for it's nourishment.
