old saying...

I was reading an old magizine that I picked up  a couple years ago.

In it was a little saying that stood out to me even though I have
read it many of times.  "Jesus will never leave anyone empty unless
they are full of themselves" (parapharsed).

TO me this helped to show me that I am lacking in many areas still
today as in several battles I have never truely given in to the Lord.
God used it to show me that even though I have been baptized in his
name and filled with the Holy Ghost,  I had pushed him out and filled
HIS place with things of the world at times.  I was showed that even
though I gave him a  corner, he wants the whole pie not just a slice.
"My Spirit will not always strive with man..." the scripture calls
out to me at times.  But do I listen, usually not!  Thank God that he
is more stubborn than I am and that he continuely wacks me with a
spiritual two by four board!  Maybe someday my head will become sore
enough and soft enough that he can get through.  I hope this does
help someone besides me.
