Bro. Massoner ,
    I've only lived in Austin,Tex only 8 mo.s. so havn't found the
religious station here . My home since 1951 has been Odessa , Tex. I
pastored the church (UPC) in Iraan Tex for 3 yrs.assisted Bro. Layman
Wilson in Monahans for 1 yr. and Started a home mission work in west
Odessa from 93 to 95. I was fortunate enough to sit under Pastor J.T Pugh
for many years. His teaching and preaching are of such demintions as to
surpass bible school. I also was appointed an elder in that church as the
last official act of Pastor J.T. before he retired. Presently I'm
attending a home mission work in Cedar, Parks, Tex pastpred by
Bro Berry a former missionary to Austrailia for several years. I do play
the mandolin and guitar in his church to help out. Presently waiting on
God to give me my marching orders. No one likes guard duty. Whatsoever
your hands find to do. Can you imagine the things Paul needed to be doing
, but there he was locked in Jail. Not mine to question why; mine to do
and die.
Anyway, I once called the (christian) radio station and complained
that the song they had just played wasn't christian( no question on this
one) they politley informed me that they were not a christian station.
They had had just spent the last 2or3 weeks begging for support for
thier ministery.
Now Austin is by all means much,,much more liberal than Odessa
could even Dream. I can now undrstand how Lot must have felt. Even
traditional music such a Blue grass, which is normaly very very
conservitive ie( no drinking , no dancing, cleanest people outside of
church) is perverted to some degree here.
Is this town ever ready for revival. But we can'nt win them by
conforming to their image. We must conform to HIs image. From glory to
glory.Enough

 May God bless you
