I've only read two disapproving accounts of hand clapping, one Apostolic,
and one Charismatic.
Howard Goss in the Winds of God stated that he preferred to avoid
hand-clapping in meetings because it was an activity the saved and unsaved
could participate in with no difference of result. Other worship actions he
felt would manifest an anointing when not done in the flesh.
The charismatic answer was Kenneth Hagin, who felt that hand-clapping was
Old Testament and of the flesh, while raising one's hands was New Testament
worship and of the Spirit.
