As far as I know, (I could be wrong) Jesus only called the "so-called"
leaders of the Jewish religion names. I don't recall him calling sinners
ugly names. He did not say to the woman taken in adultry, "You are an
adultress." She knew what she was already. He forgave her, and told her
to sin no more. He didn't say to Zaccheus "You are a thief and a robber". In fact everyone else murmured, saying, "That he (Jesus) was gone to
be a guest with a man that is a sinner." Luke 19:7. Zaccheus repented
of the wrong he had done and corrected it. I don't think he would have
done so, if Jesus had torn him down. The same goes for the woman who
washed Jesus' feet. Simon said to himself, "This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth
him: for she is a sinner." Luke 7:39
Of course Jesus knew! :-) Jesus after giving Simon a lecture then told
him that the lady was forgiven of all her sins. He then turned to her
and told her the same. What a picture! Can you imagine Simon's face
after all this? :-D He must have been very embarrased. Jesus had the
habit of turning things around on people, didn't he? :-)
I believe that instead of using the word "fag" the word homesexual or man lover is better. Some words shouldn't be used in our churches. Let me ask one question, would you want the word, "whore" coming out of your children's mouths to describe a person? I wouldn't want my son to use that
kind of language. This hits close to home, because a boy in our church
in Florida would call some of the girls this that were in the church. I don't believe this should be encouraged. The Pastor of this church later
preached to this young man in front of the whole church and told him
that what he was doing was in itself a sin.
I'm not saying I believe in letting these people continue in their sins
without being preached against, but isn't there another, better way of
doing it?????? There are other ways to make people squirm, like maybe
the power of God convicting their souls.
One more thing, if there was any homosexuals or "whores" there at that
service do you think they would have come out to the alter and prayed for forgiveness. NO...They would probably be to scared to as they might be
"executed" (instead of saved)!
