I should mention here that I am not trying to start a flame war.

While I believe that:

2Ti 3:16 *ALL* scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is]
profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
    righteousness:

that this in no way requires us to use all of it every time we preach.

My objection was to your statement that certain words should not be
used by Christians, and that you included in your list of forbidden
words certain words such as "bastard", "piss[eth]", "whore", etc. that
occur in the holy writ.

The only conclusion I can draw is that the scriptures containing these
words cannot be read. If they cannot be read, then they violate Pauls
statement to Timothy quoted above. Therefore, we have a
contradiction. The only way I can remove the contradiction is by
removing your statement. Any other way to eliminate the contradiction
would require editing the scriptures -- a thing which the scriptures
themselves prohibit. (Of course, you could get around that by editing
those passages too...)

I feel that the verses containing these words can be read over the
pulpit, and that no soft-pedaling of the words needs to be done. To
make apology for those words comprimises the integrity of the entire
text of the Bible.

Now, to use those words over the pulpit in other ways certainly could
be inappropriate, but this does not mean that it would always be
inappropriate. It all depends on the preacher, the audience, the
situation, and of course the move of the spirit.
