Absolutely amazing how that people here read what they want and ignore
anything that contradicts their preconceptions.  Several  here have
completely ignored my REPEATED comments that I have nothing against preaching
against sin, whether it be homosexuality or gossip or whatever.  What I have
spoken against is using language from the pulpit that would be censored out
of television's "Family Hour" as inappropriate for younger viewers.  Some
here seem to be saying that, by asking for this kind of restraint, I'm trying
to water down preaching.  But let me assure you, my brother, you are free to
cuss and use profane remarks all you want from behind the sacred pulpit.  I
certainly will not stop you.  However, when I teach the next generation, I
will continue to warn against such sacrilege.  Brother Mathis, you have my
promise that if I have anything to say about it, no Bible college student of
mine will EVER call your daughter a SLUT, regardless of how deep in sin she
gets.
