Someone brought up the subject of Bible school and preaching.
I feel God is leading me into the preaching field and feel that
I need to take some courses in bible school...(IBC since I am 40
minutes away) Now I know you don't have to go to Bible school
to become a preacher as some say, but?? It is up to me whether
I go or not but I am curious to see what people think about Bible
school. I have heard some say it is a waste of time. IBC is
nicknamed the Indiana Bridal college because I am told that's where
the girls go to get married. Rich, I know you go there and I have
heard many people from IBC preach and my pastor of all people says
IBC is a very good school(he teaches there)..what do you think of
it? Bro Crosslel told me that I could take my credits from IUPUI
and get a 2 year degree from IBC. Is 2 year as good as 4?
Please help me here...I am going in today to change my major
from Physical Education (teaching) to a general education degree.
This way I can get out of the Physical education teaching field
and yet still make the classes I tool worth some kind of degree.
I have prayed about this a lot and I have lost all desire in
my major. I have gained desire in the Bible. All I want to
do now is study the word. All I talk 90% of the time is the
Bible. I am driving my parents crazy about it. My pastors
wife asked me last night if I ever was serious about preaching
that I could go on the mission field with my pastor some time.
I know being a preacher isn't a big time money maker but I
am not in it for the money. If I was, I wouldnt of been taking
a major that only make 20,000 a year.
Well, Anyways...what do you all think?
