After seeing all these posts on what is right or not to play. It is Usually
just a matter of choice on my end. I listen to people ranging from the Hinsons,
Mcgruders, to Darrell Luster, Andre Crouch, and to Carmen. My standard to
chose is
1. Does *every+ song on the tape have an uplifting song praiseing Jesus CHrist
or talking on family values from the christian standpoint?
2. Can you actually understand the words without haveing to get the card from
the tape or cd case? (I do this so I can understand the message and worship
without having to worry about "is that what I am really hearing?" Though the
style of singing [ex. a mumbled voice ] can make hard to understand. then it is
just a matter of judgement.)
3. What is the background of the singer? Christian or a mix of worldly and
christian .
4. Is the singer actually out to just make money or praise God as well?
Personally I do NOT care for Rock music at all. But in a few instances (such as
Carmen now [The standard cd} ) I do enjoy listening to it in the privacy of my
home. The style of songs I write are like the Hinsons, McGruders, and Andre
Crouche so that It does not offend anyone's personal feelings.
