I never attended Bible school. I was raised congregational in a small
capital city of Vermont, Montpelier. UVM is where I studied for business.
It was BAD back in 1983. drinking, drugs, sexual promiscuity. BUT I had a
deeper understanding of God from going there... Inter varsity Christian
fellowship, the Navigators, Campus Crusade for Christ. I joined all three.
I was HUNGRY. After UVM I joined a group called young adults of
Burlington who had a study, prayer, sing along group. They taught me
guitar and it was there that my husband and his cousin found me. I was
open for Pentecost. Exactly one year from when my husband met me at Howard
Johnson's in Burlington, I had the Holy Ghost. We married a year and a
half after that. If you are already in Pentecost and going to school I
would not recommend secular unless you are close enough to live home. BUT
UPC SHOULD have a lot of groups on campus just like CCC, IV and Navs.
That is what I found when I needed it so I am sure there will be other
hungry souls out there too...
