Tongues and Interpretations anyone?

Hello all,

The first time I heard tongues and interpretations, I was praying for the
Holy Ghost. You know, reaching out with all I had. At a certain point I
heard that still small voice say- "be quiet for a minute." I couldn't
imagine God wanting me to be quiet in praising Him, so I ignored it as
Satan trying to distract me! But it wouldn't go away- "just be quiet for
one moment" it kept coming back. Finally, I decided I'd be quiet for a
moment just to see. Besides, I was getting a little bit tired anyway. Well,
you guessed it, just as soon as I quieted down, my pastor started speaking
in tongues, and she gave the interpretation.

After that, there was NO WAY any body could ever tell me that wasn't from God!

Has anyone thought about sharing any of the messages  that  your church has
received through tongues and interpretations on here?

I thought it might be a good idea. I'd like to hear what God has to say to
others!

I'll start. Here's a small sampling of some  messages we've received from
God,  through our pastor  Alice, over the years....

June 28, l992

Why  think  you  it strange because I come between thee and the world? Why
think you it strange because I can work and I can work through each one of
thee that will give your life, that will make that turn about, and that
will lift your life to me?  Why think ye it strange?  I'm here today, I was
here yesterday, and if thou willed shall be here tomorrow. You look to me
for your guidance and for leading, but I look to thee that you might follow
Me.  I cannot lead thee where you will not follow.   I cannot teach thee
where you will not hear and do my words.   I can only show thee the way and
I can only show my life to thee and show my glory to thee.  I come to thee
in the midst of your worship.   I come to thee in the midst of your
singing.   I come to thee in the midst of the Word   I come to thee when
you are praying and when you are seeking Me.  I am here.  What more must
you ask of me before you follow completely?  I am here.  I am here.

Fear not my children, yea in truth the darkness becomes closer and presses
in more each day in this world.  But you know you have my word and you have
my promise that I shall never leave thee nor forsake thee. I look and see
the brightest light in this world and as long as I am in thee and thou art
in me then ye shall be in the safety of my light. I know all of the things
that are within thee.  I know thy mind and I know thy thoughts.  I will
give thee strength if you will but stay in the light. Stay away from that
which is dark and draw into the light those that I am calling still. Still,
still I am calling.  Ye are my strength and ye are my voice and I do use
thee and I do love thee.  I do call upon thee to let the light be brighter
and brighter still as the darkness grows. I give thee this light, this
light I give thee more each day.

Though my words say I came to bring strife and division to this world of
darkness, these words are not for my people because I told thee in times
past as I tell thee now, that for thee I came to bring peace and joy. I
came to give thee the desires of thy heart.  But I ask that ye be in that
accord with each other and with me, for strife and division I gave not unto
thee.  That is for that world that does not know me.  That is for that
world that does not follow me.  Unto thee I give my peace and I give my
joy.  Will you not hold it in accord and will you not hold it together?
For it is a great gift and a great price that I paid that you might have
this.  Here unto thee tonight you may have all that I offer from my
abundance.  I give unto thee my love, my peace and my joy and my
righteousness.  These are the promises to my people.

My Children, My Bride, My Beloved One, you are the brightest light in this
world.  As we look upon thee and watch thee; our joy is fulfilled.  We do
watch and we do rejoice with your rejoicing for truly, Beloved, what you do
feel shall be soon;  yea, I shall be back for you soon.  Reach out for that
one that is calling for Me.  Reach out that they may come unto Me that I
may call all My children home, all of those that desire Me tonight.  You
are My Bride, you are My Brightest Light.

day before.  I am here in your midst because you have sought Me on your
knees.  You have come to Me willingly to walk exact in My footsteps.  I am
here for thee for all things.  I have offered to thee many times whatsoever
you will, but you were not ready.  I have called thee to this place in time
because I have perfected thee to a measure that you may do what I have
called you to do, that your heart is lifted up at all times in holy
pureness before Me; for I would have you walk in white with Me.

My Beloved Children, with the love that you raise before Me I pour back
upon thee ten fold over.  The love that you show one for another, others
may see Me in this love.   You have been joined together in this body
because you have this love for Me and one another.  I will lead thee in the
time of darkness; I will guide your footsteps when you have need; I will be
there for you in whatever manner that your heart desires; I will guide you
each step of the way until I come for thee again.  You are My own.  Hold
fast to this love for the world knows it not.  You are Mine and I am thine.

My beloved bride, have I not proved unto thee that I shall be with thee in
every valley that you walk through? Have I not walked by your side and
shown you every step you must take. Have I not brought to your mind and to
your heart the way that your path must go. Now I desire the things from you
that I have called thee for. I would have thee be the people unto me that
shall carry my name through eternity. I would have thee be my bride that
has prepared herself for me and me only. I would have you walk higher that
you may hear my every voice unto thee. My beloved I would have you lift up
your eyes that you may see me as I reach for thee to come by my side. For I
