I looked through my notes and found some on a message I preached that dealt
with the names of God. The following are some snips that I took out of
these notes.

Some linguists believe that "Yahweh" may have derived from two existing
Hebrew words: 1) havah = to be, being 2) chava = to live, life

The name Yahweh denotes: 1. absolute self existence 2. permanent existence
        3. possession of eternal life

The name Yahweh is the only name for God derived from His nature, rather
than from His works.

I have much more "stuff" along this line that I have picked up from my
research. If someone (anyone) is interested in pursuing this discussion
about "Yahweh" or the names of God in general, I would be glad to continue
in more detail. If not, I won't burden the list with more posts on the
topic.

Your brother in the only TRUE God, Jesus Christ,
Bro. Kirk
