Here it is again. I have tried to send it several times. But as they are
working on my system, I don't know it when the posts have been
working. BP
({Part 1)}
This is something while talking about the age of the earth and other biblical
topics with some friends at college that came up and God hit me with it right
across the eyes (where I would be sure to notice it) like a freight train. I
haven't been able to get it out of my mind, and hopefully everyone will find
strength and comfort in it. I may not be an eloquent writer, I may not be one
who can get the Idea across very well. But this is what God gave to me and it
is what I want to tell others about. I divide up posts like this one so that it
wont be so long in a single post and maybe others will read it more. I do not
want to just fill up email boxes, but want to bless people with it. BP.
"If I can but touch the helm of his robe" (Part 1)
Matthew 9:11 "for she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I
shall be made whole."
Luke 8:43-48 "(43)And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had
spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, (44) Came
behind Him, and touched the border of his garment:and immediately her issue of
blood stanched. (45) and Jesus said 'who touched me?' When all denied, Peter and
they that were with him said, Mater, the multitude throng thee and press thee,
and sayest thou, Who touched me? (46) And Jesus said, 'Somebody hath touched
me:For I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.' (47) And when the woman saw
that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she
declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and
how she was healed immediately. (48) And he said unto her, 'Daughter, be of good
comfort:thy faith hath made the whole; go in peace.'"
When Troubles seem to get you down, when trials come knocking at your
door, when sin has burdened you down, where can you go? What can one do? The
woman in this story from the bible, though real in her day, she represents the
sinner or church member that is having a tough time spiritually. Today I want
to talk about from the sinner's standpoint in this story.
The issue of blood represents the sins that we have carried around for
all of our life. It has weakened us, starved us, kicked us, until we are
drooped over with no solid backbone to keep us where we need to be or until we
are about to die spiritually.
For many of us, the issue are different things, but nevertheless; we still carry
it around with us where we go. We are hardly able to walk or even crawl with it
on our shoulders.
Like the woman going to doctor after doctor, We have tried many things.
For some it might had been drugs, sex, achohol, or a form of religion. we
tried to get deliverance and healing, but it was costing us our lives, our
peace, our joy, and our souls as well. Most of us have spent our living this
way spiritually.
